The Sherwood Country Club here in Thousand Oaks California was where Tiger Woods golfed his last tournament of 2007. In the true Tiger Woods form we’ve grown to respect and love Tiger not only won the Target World Championship golf tournament today, Sunday Dec 16th, he did it by matching the previous tournament record set in 2000. He also set a new tournament record for the largest margin of victory with his strong 4-under 68 finish.
Tiger hadn’t played since Sept 30th at the presidents cup but he showed no signs of rust whatsoever on this day. The biggest winner of the day may turn out to be the Tiger Woods Foundation which Tiger says will receive his 1.35 million in winnings. Jim Furyk put on considerable pressure on the front 9 but things changed in the 10th when Tiger birdied and Furyk had to 3 putt.
Woods finished the tournament with an impressive 22 under par 266.
